President Xu Yongli and his delegation were invited to visit Japan Open University (NHK), Japan Media Education Development and ACC International Exchange College from 9th to 15th in April. During the meeting with the institutions, both parties introduced the development in distance education, teaching resources development and the future prospectus. The delegation negotiated the possibilities of tentative cooperation with the Japanese institutions. During the meeting, President Xu visited the campus and facilities in Japan Open University (NHK), and learned about Japanese teaching development in ACC International Exchange College.

This visit will be helpful to start the mutual understanding and exchange between China and Japan distance institutions, and will lay foundation for the further distance education research and the cooperation in Chinese and Japanese teaching.
